Back from California

Hey guys,

Just back from California!

Something about being on the road had my nose buried in a sketchbook almost the whole time.

Here are some highlights from those drawings, including an entire family returning from a Disneyland vacation, some of my wounds from falling down on the rocks at Laguna Beach, a cockatiel named Moe who kept trying to land on my head, a couple of ice cold Coronas, and the right hand of someone special...

Vacation was GREAT but I am so happy to be back home in New York.

thanks for reading!

A trip to California isn't complete without some battle scars. Looking forward to some of that good old fashioned Frank Stockton illustration too. I love the sketches too. Thanks for posting, now get back to work. I need my fix. Cheers Frank.

Hi, Frank,
I like that you can recognize Mickey on the T-shirt of the kid sitting second from the left in the third sketch.

Welcome back!

Could you possibly answer a question for me? I'm just starting off in the field, and have just completed a 3 illustration job that will be published in September. Is there a rule to follow in re: to posting work that is yet to be printed?

Thanks in advance!

thanks everyone.

Michael, I don't know if there's an official rule. Some art directors REALLY don't like it but most don't seem to care. As long as they get first publishing rights.
